WebDec 15, 2024 · It is quite simple to open and read files in HTML using the tag. The input tag comes with properties like type, [accept], and (change). type has to be 'file' to indicate that a file will be chosen by the user. [accept] has to be '.csv' to indicate that only CSV files should be shown to the user for selection. WebSince the backend isn't written out, I was given a file with the string and told to read from the file (basically mock the call to the backend) but for the life of me, I can't seem to read from the file (sitting in the assets folder) and put the contents into a string to pass to the frontend.
