When you enabled RUM, the javascript gets injected to the URL to give you the end to end view. Maybe you can extract a method which actually throws the exception and the outer method which handles it. Then it should be possible to alert on the exception.

It would be nice if the value from a previous step could be used here. In first steps I login, a session cookie is used. And after the login in the next step a 400 (deceptive) request is send back.
