WebThey married in 1900. After completing several successful building designs, Mackintosh became an official partner in Honeyman and Keppie in 1904. When economic hardships were causing many architectural practices to close in 1913, he resigned from Honeyman and Keppie and attempted to open his own practice. WebFollowing Honeyman's retirement in 1901 Mackintosh was taken on as a partner and the name of the office was changed to Honeyman, Keppie & Mackintosh. Although he had retired, Honeyman maintained an interest in the business for some years and was involved in the restoration of Iona Cathedral in 1904-05.
